Set your image to an exact size in KB.
Form says "minimum 50 KB"? Pick your target, and your photo or signature comes back at exactly that size — with the picture itself unchanged.
Increase image size in KB, without touching the picture
Many online forms — job applications, exam registrations, KYC uploads — ask for a photo or signature within a size range, and the lower limit is just as strict as the upper one. A small, well-compressed image can be rejected for being too light. This image size increaser lets you set the exact file size you need, and gives you back the same picture at that size.
How it works
Re-saving at "higher quality"Changes the pixels, can't guarantee a specific size, and often overshoots or falls short of the number you need.
PDFLOVERSLeaves the picture alone and adds invisible filler inside the file until it reaches exactly the size you asked for.
For JPG files the filler is stored as standard comment blocks inside the file; for PNG it is stored as a private data chunk. Image viewers and editors simply skip over it, so the picture looks identical. Because the filler isn't real picture data, this doesn't make the image sharper — it only changes the file size.
How to increase image size
- Choose your image — a photo, signature or scan in JPG, PNG or WEBP.
- Enter the target size — type a number, or tap a preset like 50 KB or 200 KB.
- Pick format and dimensions (optional) — only if your form needs a specific format or pixel size.
- Click Increase Size — the result is built and checked.
- Download — the file will be exactly the size you set.
Where this helps
Passport-style photosMeet a "minimum 50 KB" photo requirement on application portals.
SignaturesBring a tiny scanned signature up to the size a form expects.
ID & document scansReach the minimum size for KYC and verification uploads.
General uploadsFix "file too small" errors on any site that sets a lower limit.
Tips
- This tool only makes files bigger. If your image is already above the target, you'll need to compress it instead.
- If the form also needs exact pixel dimensions, set them under "Change dimensions" before the size is applied.
- Upload the downloaded file as-is — opening it in an editor and re-saving will drop the filler and shrink it again.
- A portal that re-compresses uploaded images on its own may reduce the size again; that is outside what any file tool can control.
Frequently asked questions
Will my image look different? For JPG and PNG with no resize, no — the picture data isn't touched. If you convert format or change dimensions, the image is re-saved once at high quality before the size is set.
Does this improve image quality? No. The extra size is filler, not detail. It exists only to satisfy a minimum file size requirement.
Is the result exactly the size I typed?Yes — down to the byte, using 1 KB = 1024 bytes. Your device's file properties may display it rounded.
Why was my WEBP changed to JPG?Most upload forms don't accept WEBP, so with "Keep original" it's converted to JPG. You can choose PNG instead if you prefer.
What if my image is already bigger than the target? This tool can't shrink files. Pick a larger target, or use a compressor to bring the size down.
Will every website accept the file? It's a valid, openable image, and most upload forms only check the file size. A site that re-processes images may handle it differently, so check the result on the portal.
Is my image uploaded anywhere? No. Everything happens locally in your browser.
