Editable HTML rebuilds the content as clean web code with headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and links, which is easier to edit and better for websites, but it does not include pictures.
Will the fonts, colours and layout be kept?In Exact layout the text keeps its position, size, colour, bold and italic, and the page design is kept in the background image. Fonts are matched by name, and if a visitor does not have the same font installed the browser uses a similar one. In Editable HTML the structure is kept, with heading levels, bold, italic, text colour and table cell colours.
Are links, tables and lists converted?Yes. Web links and email links in the PDF stay clickable in both modes. In Editable HTML, tables drawn with borders become real HTML tables, including merged cells and header shading, and bullet or numbered lines become lists.
Is the text in the HTML selectable and searchable?Yes. Text is real HTML text, so you can select, copy and search it, and search engines can read it. Only a scanned PDF has no real text.
