Frequently asked questions

How do I convert PNG to PDF?Click Select PNG images (or drag files into the box), check the order of the pictures, choose the page size and quality, and press Convert to PDF. Then download your PDF. Each PNG becomes one page.
Can I combine many PNG images into one PDF?Yes. Add as many PNG images as you like. They are placed in the order shown, one image per page, and you can move any picture earlier or later with the arrow buttons, rotate it, or remove it before converting.
Will the PDF keep the full quality of my PNG?With the default Original quality option the PNG pixels are stored without any loss, so text and screenshots stay sharp. If the file is too big you can choose Smaller file or Smallest file, which store the image as a compressed JPEG-style picture.
What happens to transparent PNG images? In Original quality the transparency is kept inside the PDF, so the see-through areas show the white page behind them. In the smaller-file options transparent areas are filled with white.
Which page size should I choose?Choose Fit to image if the page should be exactly as big as the picture, with no white space. Choose A4 or Letter for a normal document or for printing. Auto orientation turns the page sideways for wide pictures. Use margins if you want a white border around each image.
Is my PNG uploaded to a server? No. The PDF is created inside your own browser on your device, so screenshots, ID copies and other private images are not uploaded anywhere.
How can I make the PDF smaller?Pick Smaller file or Smallest file in the Quality list. You can also run the finished PDF through our Compress PDF tool. Photos shrink a lot; simple screenshots are already small.
Is the tool free? Does it work on a phone? It is free, with no signup and no watermark. It works in the browser on Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac. Very large images use a lot of memory, so on older phones convert fewer pictures at a time.
